Over time seawalls will erode and become obsolete by current structural standards. Erosion is a very real concern when it comes to waterfront properties and preventative maintenance is always preferred when it comes to seawalls, not to mention that it will always be much more affordable to maintain a seawall than it would be to replace the same sea wall structure. Give us a call or fill out the contact form on the right side to speak with one of our seawall contractor specialists and learn how we can help with your next seawall, lake wall, or retaining wall project. |

Cortez, a census-designated place in Manatee County, Florida is a small Gulf Coast commercial fishing village founded by settlers from North Carolina in the mid to late 1880s. The population was 4,495 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Bradenton Sarasota Venice area. Present day Cortez was a part of the Safety Harbor culture region from about 900 CE until the early 1700s back when it was fashionable to construct such areas.
The Safety Culture people formed what were know as chiefdoms and villages along the shore line of Tampa Bay and the nearby Gulf of Mexico coastal line. Safety Harbor culture is defined by the presence of Safety Harbor ceramics in burial mounds and whatnot, which have been excavated from nearby archaeological sites in present day Manatee County. The Safety Harbor culture virtually disappeared due to disease and incursions by other Native Americans who proved to be just a little too invasive for the good of the region. So it goes and there ya have it in a nutshell.
